Education is the first step in the prevention of domestic violence. CHOICES strives to educate the community at large, mental health and social services staff, the legal and law enforcement communities, healthcare workers, and other appropriate groups, about domestic violence and CHOICES' services.
This includes consultations and education to community groups, schools, and churches; trainings for medical and mental health professionals; and Domestic Violence in the Workplace programs for central Ohio employers.
Speakers Bureau
Through our Speakers Bureau, organizations can request CHOICES' display presence at events such as health fairs and community awareness days. We are also available to speak on a variety of domestic violence topics, including general domestic violence information, teen dating violence, assessment and intervention techniques, and CHOICES' programs and services. Please contact us at (614) 224-7200 for more information.
